Hand-printed in Oklahoma City. Written with care by you.
About
The Thousand Card Project is a free, community art project built around letter writing. This project grew out of a lifelong love of handwritten messages, from notes from my mom placed in my lunchbox to passed notes in school to letters between long-distance friends. In 2018, that interest led me to linocut printmaking and to spending time in coffee shops writing letters to people I care about. This project shares that practice. Hand-printed cards are placed in coffee shops and bookstores for anyone to take. The goal is simple: write a letter to someone you love. The reason does not matter. It might be to celebrate a birthday or graduation, express encouragement or gratitude, or simply to let someone know you're thinking of them. The content of each card is obviously personal, but the project connects people and places through the same quiet act. The cards are free for shops and free for anyone who takes one. Thanks for making this possible :)

Find Our Cards!
Cards are offered in a small number of coffee shops and bookstores. For each round, cards are sent to places that value quiet moments, handwritten notes, and community space. Currently, cards can be found here:Oklahoma City, OK
